April is....

The Falmouth Memorial Library is busy this month! Our Annual Spring Book Sale is coming up soon! Come check out the great selection of books Saturday, April 10th 9:30am to 5pm and Sunday, April 11th, 1pm to 5pm. Sunday, April 11th 3pm to 5pm is our famous Buck-a-Bag! Please bring your own shopping sized bags to fill!

And...Shhhhh, The Friends of the Library will be hosting a sneak peak of the book sale on Friday, April 9th. The doors are open from 4pm to 6pm, the cost? Just be a current member of the Friends of the Library or a $5.00 donation will get you in the door.

Beauty and the Books-- Final Day is Approaching!

Don't forget to stop by FML and place your bids on the wonderful items in our Beauty and the Books Silent Auction. The auction is a fundraiser for the library. All items in this arts and craft auction were donated. Items include a fuzzy toy squirrel to paintings! It's a great event and the grand finale is this Thursday, March 25th, 5-7 pm in the library's Russell Room. All are welcome for final bidding and refreshments. Then she will return on Wednesday, April 21st from 4pm to 6pm.

Resume Critique -February 18th

Professional writer, Elizabeth Schoch, will be back this month to provide free resume critiques. Bring in your current resume and cover letter! No appointment is needed, feel free to drop in on Thursday, February 18th at 4pm. Elizabeth is available until 6pm.

ATC's are Back!

We offered a few Artist Trading Card workshops both this summer during our Summer Reading Program for adults and this winter during our Holiday Open House. Please join staffer Laura D. next Saturday, February 6th at 2pm for "Junk Drawer ATC's" No experience is needed. Drop-ins are welcome. Clean out a junk drawer and turn your junk into art. Older children are welcome if they bring along a responsible adult who participates in the workshop with them.
What should you bring? Beads, bangles, buttons, ribbons, stamps, photos, hardware or anything you find "artfully inspirational".

Winter Storm Closings...but my Library Books are Due!

What happens when the library closes due to bad weather conditions? You can't get a book and what about those DVD's that are due on that day?

Not to worry, our staff "backdates" all returned items as if they were returned on the snow day. You won't accumulate fines for the days we are closed.

But what if you really needed to get something out to read? Well, have you checked out the great downloadable audio books? Just click on the "download audiobooks" icon on our home page! When you arrive at the Overdrive homepage, be sure to click on the "Quick Start Guide" for easy instructions.
